Now the question is how to add news to your website? The answer is a yet another free tool from Google Labs - Google Reader. This is actually Google's news aggregator. You can subscribe news by clicking the 'Subscribe' link. Follow the below mentioned steps to have HTML news hyperlinks in your website which gets updated automatically.

1. Open Google news
2. Type your wanted news. example - cricket. and press Search News.
3. Find RSS feed or Atom feed on the left of the page, where you have all the
Cricket news.
4. A new page with 'xml-tags' would come up. Copy the url and paste it to the
Google reader and press 'search content'.
5. Once done with it, click to 'Subscribe'.
6. Go to 'share' and on the right side of the page find - 'Put a clip on your site'.
Choose an appropriate title, a color and press the 'Get Code' button.
You will find a JavaScript code. Just copy-paste that code to your home page and
see the magic! (Ah! in one sense, it is)

The Google Reader provides an easy and handy way that requires no xml, php, rss knowledge and it is effective too. I have am using it and I am happy. Find the news source on the right hand of the page.

You can add or edit news directly coming from Google News. Not only that if you know the RSS and Atom feed URL of the website like; Yahoo, MSN or any other website, you can just repeat the same procedure from step '4 ' onwards. Google Reader provides an easy way to get crwaled by Google and add news service to your website for visitors.

Is Google ready to Solve Pay Per Click frauds?

Google hit the news again. This time not for its new innovations, software or services but, for a legal issue that is giving pains to Google. Google is sued by a company in Arkansas, which claims that a huge chunk of money is wasted in paying the Google for fraud clicks. This is not a single incident, but several other companies also have to tell the same story. In fact, many companies have faced a similar and serious problems due these click frauds.

The question that hits the head hard is; Is Google going to solve this issue, if yes, then by what means? Finally, Google has come up with it's initial homework. That is, Google now confies on it's expert engnieers and security professionals that have developed unavoidable filters to check click frauds. Google will not only stop click fraud activity but it can also ban the activities comming from the IP addresses where suspicious activities are carried out.

Google anounced that it will pay back the whole amount, which is found to be credited to the advertising company's bill due to fraud. The payback amount is calculated by the Google and it is liable to all those companies who are subjected to click fraud. The total worth is $90 million. It sounds huge huh! But just check out this fact that Google has earned several billion dollars from the last 4 years only through advertisements. And the $90 million would not throw Google in the drains of losses.

Let us hope that Google keeps up it's trend and reputation in market through serving the people and not by frauds and scams!

Basics of SEO and Web Marketing - II

So I am back again with basics of SEO and web marketing strategies. These strategies are considered standard, as they have experienced to be successful on the real life scenario.

Developing a web page on the basis of a particular keyword means using the same keyword in the entire article as a main subject. It should depict quality information related to the keyword. The content should be arranged beautifully around the keyword. One good SEO tactic is to repeat the keyword again and again in the content. A certain level of decency should be maintained to avoid excess repetition of the keywords.

Keyword Density comes into picture here. It is the measure of number of keyword in your content with respect to the total number of words present in a given article. So if you write a 500-word article then repeat the keyword at least 10 times. This is based on the rule that the minimum density of the keyword should not be more than 2. 2% of 500 is 10. Repeat your keyword 10 times in 500-word article. But getting is the heart and soul of your Search Engine Positioning.

You should try to get a keyword, which is more looked by the people. This clearly specifies that you want to make such pages that is liked by the people and not just by you. You should start with an extensive keyword research. You should find out the keywords that are searched by the people throughout the world for a given topic. Suppose I want to write something about real estates present in a given city. Then the keyword should be something like New York real estates or New York real estate agents. You may have to do an exhaustive keyword research in the web for researching the keywords.

I suggest you to take the help of keyword research tools. Most of the keyword suggestion tools that are based on Word tracker are good. If you are targeting for Yahoo then considering Overture would be a good idea.
